About The Position
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker for Maurice K. Goddard State Park. This role involves hands-on work in maintaining park grounds and facilities to ensure they are safe, attractive, and welcoming for the public. Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Submission of criminal history reports will be required for a conditional offer of employment.
Responsibilities
- Clean restrooms, buildings, and common areas while performing routine repairs
- Mow grass, remove debris, and complete landscaping work across the park
- Assist with building repairs, sign installation, painting, and basic carpentry tasks
- Clear brush, clean culverts, and maintain walkways and recreation areas
- Use park vehicles, mowers, and tools to complete daily tasks safely
- Provide friendly information and support to park guests when needed
