About The Position

As a Park Maintenance Worker with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will play an important part in preserving the beauty and function of Bendigo State Park Complex. This position will allow you to work on a variety of tasks, from facility upkeep to ground maintenance. Your work will support positive experiences for all park visitors throughout the year. This position supports the upkeep of park buildings, grounds, and facilities through a wide range of maintenance tasks. You will help ensure that visitors enjoy a clean, safe, and well-maintained park environment.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Submission of criminal history reports will be required for a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, and building maintenance tasks
  • Mow grass, trim branches, remove debris, and maintain picnic and day-use areas
  • Use tractors, mowers, chain saws, and other tools to support maintenance needs
  • Clean restrooms, pool areas, offices, and other park facilities
  • Assist skilled trades staff with repairs, renovations, and project work
  • Provide helpful information and support to visitors in a friendly manner
