About The Position

As a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will help keep Linn Run State Park Complex running smoothly. This role lets individuals make a positive impact on the park environment while supporting outdoor recreation for visitors. It is a chance to work outdoors, stay active, and build useful maintenance skills. The work supports the mission of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources by helping care for treasured natural spaces. In this position, you will support the daily upkeep and improvement of the Linn Run State Park Complex. It involves hands-on work that helps keep buildings, grounds, and equipment in good condition.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Make repairs to buildings and park facilities using basic tools and trade techniques
  • Operate and care for park vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain park grounds by mowing, trimming, removing debris, and completing landscaping tasks
  • Assist with simple construction tasks such as mixing cement and building forms
  • Complete required forms and records such as mileage logs and daily reports
  • Clean and supply restrooms, cabins, offices, and other buildings
