About The Position

As a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, you will help make Parker Dam State Park a clean, safe, and welcoming place. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and taking on a variety of tasks. Your efforts will support the park’s natural beauty and smooth daily operations. Be part of a mission that serves both the environment and the public. In this position, you will play an important role in maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment that keep Parker Dam State Park running smoothly. You will support both visitor experience and overall park operations.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Meet the PA residency requirement
  • Be able to perform essential job functions
  • Submission of criminal history reports will be required for a conditional offer of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Make repairs using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and other building trade skills
  • Operate and assist with the care and cleaning of park vehicles and equipment
  • Maintain lawns, trees, shrubs, and outdoor areas through mowing, trimming, planting, and general cleanup
  • Build simple forms, mix and place cement, finish concrete, and lay stone or block walls
  • Paint or stain buildings, signs, and gates as needed
  • Clean, supply, and make minor routine repairs to restrooms, offices, and other buildings.
