Park Maintenance Worker (Semi Skilled Laborer) (Seasonal) - Nockamixon State Park
About The Position
Join the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources as a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker at Nockamixon State Park. This role gives you the chance to support a valued outdoor recreation area while working with a dedicated team. Your efforts will help keep park facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors. You will make a direct impact on the enjoyment and safety of all who use the park. In this position, you will support the daily upkeep and operation of Nockamixon State Park through a variety of semi-skilled maintenance tasks. The work contributes to a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment for park visitors.
Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
- Able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning tasks in latrines, shower houses, cabins, and other park buildings
- Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, and leaf blowers to maintain outdoor areas
- Help with carpentry, masonry, painting, and trail maintenance activities
- Complete litter pick-up, trash removal, and general site upkeep
- Operate park vehicles and power tools for daily maintenance tasks
- Follow safety procedures and assist in routine safety reviews
