About The Position
The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker for Chapman State Park. This role involves hands-on tasks related to the upkeep of park grounds and facilities, contributing to public service by creating safe, attractive, and welcoming spaces. The position offers a sense of personal achievement and a pathway for professional growth.
Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Must meet the PA residency requirement.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to park buildings and facilities using basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing tools.
- Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment used in daily park work.
- Build forms, mix and place cement, and complete basic masonry tasks.
- Mow grass, trim weeds, plant and maintain vegetation, clean drains, and remove debris.
- Clean and supply park buildings and complete minor routine repairs such as replacing bulbs.
- Assist park visitors in a friendly manner and share helpful information.
