About The Position

Join the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources at Chapman State Park as a Park Maintenance Supervisor 1 and help keep park facilities safe, welcoming and ready for visitors. This role gives you the opportunity to guide maintenance staff, plan projects and support the overall care of the park. Requirements

• Four years of semi-skilled maintenance or construction experience in two of the following: electrical trades, plumbing trades carpentry trades, mechanical trades, water or wastewater treatment plant operations, or the operation of small and medium size construction or agricultural equipment; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Possession of an active motor vehicle license.
• Meet the PA residency requirement.

Responsibilities

• Schedule tasks, assign duties and review completed work for maintenance staff
• Collaborate with the Park Manager to address maintenance needs and plan solutions
• Manage water systems, wastewater systems and related reporting requirements
• Use carpentry, electrical, plumbing, masonry and other trades to complete park projects
• Evaluate employee performance, handle disciplinary actions, and approve leave requests
• Identify hazards, check buildings, and equipment and ensure compliance with regulations
