This position supports State Park operations by performing maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping work across buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas.
Requirements
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must meet the PA residency requirement.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- A conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
Responsibilities
- Make repairs to park buildings and structures using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related tools
- Operate vehicles and equipment, as well as assist with cleaning and basic maintenance
- Maintain outdoor areas by mowing, trimming, planting, cleaning, and preparing sites
- Build simple forms, mix and place cement, and complete masonry work as needed
- Clean restrooms, offices, and other buildings and perform minor routine repairs
- Provide helpful information to park visitors in a friendly manner
