About The Position

A Park Area Ambassador at Sesame Place helps create positive guest experiences and lasting memories by providing exemplary guest service and helping maintain a clean and safe environment throughout the park. The role works as part of a team and calls for a positive attitude, high energy, and a strong commitment to quality. Ambassadors may be assigned to different locations depending on business needs and must be available for varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Must be at least 15 years of age.
Passion for customer service.
Excellent multitasking and time-management skills.
Outstanding communication abilities.
Active listening skills and the ability to anticipate guests’ needs.
Ability to initiate conversations with guests.
Flexibility to perform varied duties and work in different locations as business needs require.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to walk and stand extensively throughout the entire work shift.
Must be able to kneel, squat, bend from floor to waist and waist to overhead, reach overhead, and perform simple grasping and fine hand-manipulation tasks, including using tools, a keyboard, and writing.
Must be willing to comply with SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather, including extreme heat and cold.
Must provide flexible, consistent availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and comply with the Holiday and Availability agreement.
Must successfully complete all required legal, company, and department training within established timelines.

Responsibilities

Interact with guests and others in a positive, professional manner.
Answer guest questions and concerns and provide exceptional guest service.
Help maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including grounds, mulch beds, benches, tables, smoke outposts, picnic areas, and parking lots.
Report maintenance concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
Promote and help ensure a safe and secure environment.
Perform cleaning duties, including using cleaning chemicals.
Practice safe work habits, use personal protective equipment (PPE), and report unsafe situations.
Complete required legal, company, and department training within established timelines.
