About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio is seeking a part-time Parenting Skill Instructor/Family Coach. The role teaches parenting skills and appropriate decision-making techniques to individuals who are at risk of, or have previously, lost custody of their child. Services are provided in a classroom setting and in the home, depending on the family’s needs. The instructor provides consistent guidance, direction, and support aligned with court-ordered case plans, program goals, and necessary lifestyle changes to promote a functional family unit.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or Child Development, or five years of experience working with families and children.
• A First Aid and CPR certificate is required; the agency will provide it.
• Valid driver's license and automotive insurance; regularly provide the agency with proof of valid automotive insurance.
• Travel within communities served.
• Ability to perform the stated physical requirements, including inside sedentary work, constant bilateral reaching at all levels, constant handling/fingering, fine-finger use for computer operation and writing, and frequent standing and sitting.
• Background and FBI/BCI checks are required.

Responsibilities
