Day Shift Paratransit Driver
About The Position
Transit Team, Inc. is hiring a Paratransit Driver in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role involves safely transporting Metro Mobility passengers and providing courteous, respectful assistance to riders, including older adults and people with disabilities. The driver follows routes and schedules, secures mobility devices and wheelchairs, and completes vehicle inspections. The listed schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though schedules vary based on route and operational needs. Pay is $23.00 per hour. Paid training is provided, and a CDL is not required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Minnesota driver's license and at least one year of driving experience.
- Safe and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to pass a background check and 5-panel drug screen.
- Ability to complete and pass a DOT physical.
- Ability to safely perform essential duties, including walking, bending, sitting, standing, and assisting passengers as needed.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Metro Mobility vehicle.
- Provide outstanding customer service to passengers.
- Assist riders entering and exiting the vehicle when needed.

- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all passengers.
