About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional Educator with school-based experience to support classroom instruction in an elementary school setting in Oakland County, Michigan. This role assists with classroom instruction, provides small-group and one-on-one academic support, encourages student engagement, and helps maintain an organized and productive classroom. The paraprofessional works alongside teachers and educational staff in a supportive learning environment and helps students thrive while adapting to diverse student needs.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Current BLS/CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred.
A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience within the past 5 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support classroom instruction by reinforcing lessons and learning activities under the direction of the classroom teacher.
Provide small-group and one-on-one academic assistance to help students understand concepts and complete assignments.
Assist students with classroom activities, assignments, and educational tasks.
Help review student work and provide instructional feedback under the teacher's guidance.
Prepare instructional materials and maintain an organized, engaging classroom environment.
Monitor student participation, engagement, and progress during classroom activities.
Assist with student attendance records and other classroom documentation as needed.
Perform general clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student learning and classroom routines.
Encourage positive student behavior and contribute to a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
