About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Audiologist for a part-time, on-site position in a well-respected school district in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing hearing, balance, and auditory processing disorders in school-aged children. It offers an opportunity to support student success by improving hearing and communication.
Requirements
- Doctor of Audiology degree (Au.D.).
- Active state license as an Audiologist.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant audiology experience within the past 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat hearing, balance, and central auditory processing disorders in school-aged students.
- Conduct hearing screenings and functional assessments to determine auditory health and performance.
- Provide aural rehabilitation to help mitigate the impact of hearing loss on communication and learning.
- Perform comprehensive evaluations, fittings, and adjustments for hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
