Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) or more years of library related experience preferred.
  • Previous budgeting and related reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Codes, classifies, catalogues, receives, checks out, and shelves library materials.
  • Converts written material to computerized library system.
  • Monitors circulation of library materials and delivers and retrieves library materials.
  • Performs library material inventory, and reconciles discrepancies.
  • Explains basic use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services and provides library resource location, data search, and service assistance to students and teachers.
  • Assists individuals and small student groups locate library resources and materials.
  • Monitors students at assigned site and reinforces positive student behaviors, enforcing administration policies and rules governing students.
  • Discusses and coordinates instructional efforts with teachers and library staff.
  • Coordinates the classification, indexing, shelving and circulation of books, periodicals, audio-visual and multi-media information.
