About The Position

The Sequoia Union High School District is hiring a Paraprofessional I for Woodside High School. The role requires the ability to work with students who have emotional needs and compliance with No Child Left Behind (NCLB) paraprofessional requirements. Applicants must meet one of these criteria: a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of college (48 units); an associate degree or higher; or passing an NCLB exam before employment. The district encourages applicants with diverse backgrounds and experiences, particularly anti-bias educators who are racially conscious, equity-focused, and motivated to support the success of all students. The district describes its commitment to racial, gender identity, and sexuality equity, and to hiring, supporting, and retaining staff who reflect its student population. Each school or department site screens applications and conducts interviews independently; applicants are asked not to contact Human Resources to request an interview. Regularly employed part-time employees who work at least 15 hours per week are eligible for the district’s highest HMO single premium rate and dental benefits for employee-only coverage. For two-party or family coverage, the district contribution is prorated based on the percentage of a full-time assignment. These benefits do not apply to substitute employees. A resume is required.
