About The Position

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and the general supervision of a teacher and/or other certificated employee, the Paraprofessional I provides instructional and behavioral support to students as they work toward learning objectives. The position serves Joshua Cowell School and Neil Hafley School, with a five-hour workday that includes drive time between the schools. Other related duties may be assigned.

The employer is Manteca Unified School District (MUSD), which partners with families and the community to provide student-centered educational programs. The district serves approximately 25,000 students across more than 30 schools in a diverse community spanning Stockton, Lathrop, Manteca, and French Camp.

Applicants must submit a resume, one professional letter of recommendation, and either proof of the required college units or degree, or a certificate showing successful completion of a basic paraprofessional proficiency test. If hired, candidates must complete TB clearance and fingerprinting at their own expense. Preference will be given to inside candidates.

Requirements

• High school diploma accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education, or equivalent.
• Forty-eight semester units, an associate degree or higher, or passing the proficiency requirements established by the District.
• Submit a resume and one professional letter of recommendation.
• Submit proof of an associate or bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 semester units, or a certificate of successful completion of a basic paraprofessional proficiency test.
• If submitting college degrees or transcripts from outside the United States, provide a certified evaluation verifying equivalency.
• If selected, provide proof of completion of high school or an equivalent program.
• Complete TB clearance and fingerprinting if hired; these are at the employee's cost.
