About The Position

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and under the general supervision of a teacher and/or other certificated employee, the Paraprofessional II provides instructional and behavioral support to students in accomplishing learning objectives. The role works with students of all ages who have severe behavioral, physical, language, or learning handicaps and performs other related duties as assigned. The position is at Stella Brockman School and is scheduled for five hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a half-hour lunch.

Requirements

• High school diploma from an accredited institution or equivalent.
• In addition to the high school diploma or equivalent, have 48 semester units, an associate degree or higher, or pass proficiency requirements established by the district.
• Submit a resume, one signed letter of recommendation, and proof of an associate or bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 semester units, or a certificate showing successful completion of a basic paraprofessional proficiency test.
• Candidates submitting college degrees or transcripts from outside the United States must also provide a certified evaluation verifying equivalency.
• If hired, complete TB clearance and fingerprinting at the employee's cost.
