About The Position
Heartland Ambulance Service is a private ambulance provider in Indiana focused on providing high-quality care tailored to each patient's needs while fostering a positive work environment. Paramedics provide advanced and basic life support emergency medical care, patient assessment and care, transportation, and related services.
Requirements
- Must hold Indiana Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification or licensure and maintain current, valid state certification.
- Must have no criminal record.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current and valid state driver's license.
- BLS CPR certification.
- Must be able to safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification (preferred, not required).
- BCLS certification (preferred, not required).
- RSI competency (preferred, not required).
Responsibilities
- Operate ambulances and other company equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide basic life support treatment and transport sick and injured people.
- Provide basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures.
- Prepare inventories, stock supplies, and inspect equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients into and out of ambulances and at facilities, residences, and other locations.
- Respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and make critical care decisions quickly.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Follow proper protocols and maintain a professional appearance.
