About The Position

Heartland Ambulance Service is a private ambulance provider in Indiana focused on delivering high-quality care that addresses each patient’s individual needs while fostering a positive work environment for team members. The company is growing and seeks Paramedics to provide advanced and basic life support emergency medical care, patient assessment and care, and transport services.

Requirements

Must hold current Indiana Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic certification or licensure and maintain valid state certification.
Must have no criminal record.
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have a current and valid state driver's license.
Must have BLS CPR certification.
Must be able to safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients.

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification (preferred, not required).
BCLS certification (preferred, not required).
RSI competency (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

Operate ambulances and other company equipment safely and efficiently.
Provide basic life support treatment and transport sick and injured people.
Provide basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures.
Prepare inventories, stock supplies, and inspect equipment to ensure proper operation.
Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients into and out of ambulances and through facilities, residences, and other locations.
Respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and make critical care decisions quickly.
Complete all required paperwork.
Follow proper protocols and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
