About The Position
Heartland Ambulance Service is a private ambulance provider in Indiana focused on delivering high-quality care while addressing each patient's individual healthcare needs and creating a positive work environment for team members. The company is growing and seeks Paramedics to provide advanced and basic life support emergency medical care, patient assessment and care, transportation, and related services.
Requirements
- Must be certified or licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic in Indiana and maintain current state Paramedic certification.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have no criminal record.
- Must have a current and valid state driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS certification is preferred but not required.
- BCLS certification is preferred but not required.
- BLS CPR certification.
- RSI competency is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate ambulances and other company equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide basic life support treatment and transport sick and injured people.
- Provide basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures.
- Prepare inventories, stock supplies, and inspect equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients into and out of ambulances and at facilities, residences, and other locations.
- Respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and make critical care decisions quickly.
- Complete all required paperwork.
- Follow proper protocols and maintain a professional appearance.
