About The Position

Heartland Ambulance Service is a private ambulance provider in Indiana whose mission is to provide high-quality care while recognizing each patient's individual needs and creating a positive work environment for team members. The company is growing and seeks Paramedics to provide advanced life support and basic life support emergency medical care, patient assessment and care, transport services, and other related services.

Requirements

Must be certified or licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic in Indiana and maintain valid, current state EMT-Paramedic certification.
No criminal record.
High school diploma or GED.
Current and valid state driver's license.

Nice To Haves

ACLS certification (preferred, not required).
BCLS certification (preferred, not required).
BLS CPR certification.
RSI competency (preferred, not required).

Responsibilities

Operate ambulances and other company equipment safely and efficiently.
Provide basic life support treatment and transportation for sick and injured people.
Provide basic and advanced emergency medical treatment and life-saving procedures.
Prepare inventories, stock supplies, and inspect equipment to ensure proper operation.
Safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients into and out of ambulances and in facilities, residences, and other locations.
Respond to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and make critical care decisions quickly.
Complete all required paperwork.
Follow proper protocols and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
