About The Position

Primarily responsible for providing professional emergency treatment in the pre-hospital setting. Primarily treats and transports sick or injured individuals. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Completion of a vocational training program as a Paramedic.
Six months of experience.
Current Georgia Paramedic certification.
Valid Georgia driver’s license.
Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification.
AHA/ARC PALS certification or obtain it within 9 months of hire.
CPT training within 9 months of hire.
FAST-ED stroke scale certification or obtain it within three months of hire.
Physical ability to perform the job, as determined by a physical agility performance evaluation.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English and understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with employees, volunteers and management.
Ability to perform prolonged work under adverse emergency conditions involving physical and mental stress.
Ability to think clearly and use independent judgment in routine and non-routine situations.
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and patient care equipment.
Ability to use personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown and mask.
