About The Position

Provides appropriate emergency medical care and transportation within the EMT-Paramedic scope of practice, following Adena Health System standards and procedures. Assesses and treats patients and transports them to or from medical facilities or residences. Maintains treatment protocols and safety standards, and communicates effectively in high-stress environments. Operates ambulances safely and represents the EMS Health Care System professionally. The role includes direct patient care and operates under the supervision of the EMS Manager. This is a part-time mid-shift position with hours from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM and work required every third weekend. The position is based in Chillicothe with Adena EMS. Salary is based on years of experience in past and present roles.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ohio EMT-Paramedic Certification.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age to be insurable under Adena’s insurance.

Nice To Haves

NRP.
NREMT Paramedic Certification.
EVOC Certification.
2 years of private or emergent (911) medical services experience.
