About The Position

Provides appropriate emergency medical care and transportation within the EMT-Paramedic scope of practice established by Adena Health System standards and procedures. Assesses and treats patients and transports them to or from medical facilities or residences. Maintains treatment protocols and safety standards and communicates effectively in high-stress environments. Operates the ambulance safely and represents the EMS Health Care System professionally. Provides direct patient care under the supervision of the EMS Manager. The position is full-time on the night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every third weekend required, in Chillicothe with Adena EMS. Salary is based on years of experience in past and present roles.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ohio EMT-Paramedic Certification.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
One year of healthcare experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age to be insurable under the employer’s insurance.

Nice To Haves

Preferred education: NRP.
NREMT Paramedic Certification.
EVOC Certification.
NRP.
Two years of private or emergent (911) medical services experience.
