About The Position

The Paramedic provides emergency medical care and transportation within the EMT-Paramedic scope of practice and in accordance with Adena Health System standards and procedures. The role includes assessing and treating patients and transporting them to or from medical facilities or residences. The Paramedic maintains treatment protocols and safety standards, communicates effectively in high-stress situations, operates an ambulance safely, and professionally represents the EMS Health Care System. This position provides direct patient care under the supervision of the EMS Manager. The position is part-time, based in Chillicothe with Adena EMS, and works a required mid shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, including every third weekend. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to be insurable under the organization’s insurance.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ohio EMT-Paramedic Certification.
BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age to be insurable under Adena’s insurance.

Nice To Haves

NRP education.
NREMT Paramedic Certification.
EVOC Certification.
NRP certification.
2 years of private or emergent (911) medical services experience.
