About The Position

Provides appropriate emergency medical care and transportation within the EMT–Paramedic scope of practice established by Adena Health System standards and procedures. The role includes assessing and treating patients and transporting them to or from medical facilities or residences. The Paramedic maintains treatment protocols and safety standards, communicates effectively in high-stress environments, operates an ambulance safely, and represents the EMS Health Care System professionally. This position provides direct patient care and operates under the supervision of the EMS Manager.

The position is full-time on the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and requires working every third weekend. It is based with Adena EMS in Chillicothe. Salary is based on years of experience in past and present roles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ohio EMT–Paramedic Certification.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
• One year of healthcare experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to be insurable under the company’s insurance.
• Availability for the required night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, including every third weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred education: NRP.
• NREMT Paramedic Certification.
• EVOC Certification.
• Two years of private or emergency (911) medical services experience.
