About The Position

Gateway Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a Paramedic on a PRN basis to provide onsite coverage at its Sherman, Texas location and facilitate contrast injections. If an adverse event occurs—such as a contrast reaction, infiltration, or situation requiring the radiologist—the Paramedic should immediately use Microsoft Teams audio/video to alert the supervising radiologist. The radiologist will assist with patient assessment and provide appropriate treatment instructions, including medication administration when indicated. The onsite contractor is also responsible for ensuring that 911 is called when necessary.

Before onsite coverage, the Paramedic must provide proof of Certificate of Liability Insurance and a current medical license, complete the MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.

Gateway Diagnostic Imaging provides diagnostic imaging services in an outpatient setting, combining imaging equipment, radiologists, and customer service to support referring physicians, patients, and payors.

Requirements

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite coverage and facilitate contrast injections.
• Immediately alert the supervising radiologist through Microsoft Teams audio/video when an adverse event occurs or a situation requires the radiologist.
• Assist with patient response by following the radiologist’s assessment and treatment instructions, including medication administration when instructed.
• Ensure 911 has been called when necessary.
• Provide proof of Certificate of Liability Insurance and a current medical license before onsite coverage.
• Complete the MRI Safety Screening form and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training before onsite coverage.
