About The Position

Gateway Diagnostic Imaging, part of Lumexa Imaging, is seeking a Paramedic on a PRN basis to work onsite at its Sherman, Texas location and facilitate contrast injections. In the event of an adverse event—including a contrast reaction, infiltration, or another situation requiring a radiologist—the Paramedic should immediately use Microsoft Teams audio/video to alert the supervising radiologist. The radiologist will assist with patient assessment and provide treatment instructions, including instructions for medication administration. The onsite contractor is also responsible for ensuring that 911 is called when necessary. Before providing onsite coverage, the Paramedic must provide documentation of Certificate of Liability Insurance and a current medical license, complete the MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training. The role requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Facilitate contrast injections at the outpatient imaging location.
Immediately alert the supervising radiologist using Teams audio/video when an adverse event occurs or a situation requires radiologist involvement.
Support patient assessment and follow the radiologist’s treatment instructions, including instructions for medication administration.
Ensure 911 is called when necessary.
Before onsite coverage, provide Certificate of Liability Insurance and current medical license documentation, complete the MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
