PRN Paramedic
About The Position
Gateway Diagnostic Imaging, part of Lumexa Imaging, is seeking a Paramedic to provide onsite support for contrast injections at multiple locations, including its Arlington, Texas center. This is a PRN position. In the event of an adverse event—such as a contrast reaction, infiltration, or another situation requiring a radiologist—the Paramedic must promptly use Microsoft Teams audio/video to alert the supervising radiologist. The radiologist will assist with patient assessment and provide treatment instructions, including any medication administration. The onsite contractor is also responsible for ensuring that 911 is called when necessary. Before providing onsite coverage, the Paramedic must submit proof of Certificate of Liability Insurance and a current medical license, complete the MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a certified EMT or Paramedic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current medical license.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for contrast injections at multiple locations.
- Use Teams audio/video to promptly alert the supervising radiologist when an adverse event or situation requiring the radiologist occurs.
- Assist the supervising radiologist with patient assessment and follow treatment instructions, including medication administration when directed.
- Ensure 911 is called when necessary.
- Before onsite coverage, provide proof of Certificate of Liability Insurance and a current medical license, complete the MRI Safety Screening form, and review Emergency Response and MRI Safety training.
