About The Position

MedTrust, an MMT Ambulance Company, is seeking compassionate and skilled Paramedics to provide interfacility ambulance transportation for healthcare partners in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Paramedics deliver patient care within their scope of practice across clinical and transport settings, apply EMS protocols, and help ensure safe, reliable ambulance operations. The role requires a current Paramedic certification or license, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and the ability to meet the stated physical demands.

Requirements

Current Paramedic certification or license; state-specific requirements apply.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to safely operate EMS vehicles and essential equipment.
Ability to bend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs, and push or pull over 50 lbs.
Ability to maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments.
Ability to tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance.
Ability to perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situations.

Responsibilities

Provide basic and advanced life support (BLS/ALS) within the Paramedic scope of practice.
Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in compliance with state and local regulations.
Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of clinical and transport settings.
Apply EMS protocols and procedures in various situations.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare personnel, and team members.
Document patient care accurately using the electronic charting system.
Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports.
Ensure vehicle cleanliness and restock supplies as needed.
Demonstrate ethical conduct and a commitment to patient care and safety.
