About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics in Payson, Arizona, to provide compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care. Paramedics assess emergency calls, provide advanced medical care using appropriate equipment and procedures, communicate with patients and their loved ones, and lead scene and unit management as needed. The role also includes driving an ambulance on 911 responses, collaborating with healthcare and public safety personnel, and participating in community programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic.
• BLS, ACLS, and CPR Card from the American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action while following progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills, medical equipment, and procedures—including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids—to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and their loved ones to provide information and assurance about the care being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.
