About The Position

AMR is hiring full-time Paramedics in Payson, Arizona, to deliver compassionate, high-quality service and advanced patient care. Paramedics assess emergency calls, provide care using progressive Paramedic protocols, communicate with patients and their loved ones, and collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel. They may lead the Paramedic team, manage the scene and unit, drive the ambulance on 911 responses, and participate in community programs that support AMR’s image and community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic credentials.
• BLS, ACLS, and CPR Card (American Heart Association only—AHA).
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call situation and determine the best course of action while following progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills and medical equipment and procedures, including a defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and their loved ones, providing information and reassurance about the care being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
