About The Position

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a valid Tennessee Paramedic License.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Have high proficiency in BLS-level patient care.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Hold current CPR certification.
• Complete a post-offer physical exam and drug screening.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Follow the Vital Medical Transport Compliance Program.
• Maintain all required certifications and licenses.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.
• PHTLS certification.
• ITLS certification.
• National Registry Paramedic (NREMT-P) credential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and interfacility medical calls.
• Perform ALS assessments and lifesaving interventions.
• Administer medications according to Standing Medical Orders.
• Read and interpret EKGs.
• Operate advanced EMS equipment.
• Deliver patient care throughout transport.
• Lift, transfer, and move patients safely.
• Complete accurate and detailed Patient Care Reports (PCRs).
• Clean, restock, and maintain equipment.
• Safely drive and operate an ambulance.
