About The Position

The Warehouse Lead assists the Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisors with all areas of warehouse operations. The role provides leadership to the team, trains and evaluates warehouse personnel and processes, and maintains the ability to provide expertise and hands-on assistance in any area of warehouse operations when needed. The Warehouse Lead provides performance feedback, assists with interviewing candidates, directs assigned team members' work, and provides guidance and support for designated responsibilities or teams. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager and/or Supervisor(s), handles warehouse process or personnel issues, and promotes company policies, safety procedures, goals, expectations, purpose, and values.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct daily warehouse teammate activities to ensure safe and successful completion of warehouse operations.
Verify that applicable warehouse processes are followed, including processes for handling damaged-product check-in, and handle assigned areas of responsibility.
Train and lead warehouse personnel and evaluate processes to pursue continuous improvement.
Communicate with warehouse management and personnel about process and personnel improvements, quality, out-of-stocks, and related matters.
Lead and model the safety culture and strive for full compliance with safety policies and procedures.
Support, lead, and motivate the team by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines.
Coach and train teammates on the job, implement continuous-improvement methods while maintaining customer focus, and embody company purpose and values.
Assist with interviewing potential candidates and advise management on performance-management matters.
Perform other duties as assigned.
