About The Position

Austin Radiological Association (ARA Diagnostic Imaging), a practice of Radiology Partners, is hiring a Paramedic for its Cedar Park, Texas location. ARA provides outpatient imaging services across Central Texas and combines local care with the resources of a national radiology organization.

The Paramedic supports safe patient care throughout imaging procedures. The role includes checking and maintaining supplies and equipment, gathering patient histories and screening information, preparing for patient care, performing quality checks on schedules, inserting and removing IV catheters, assisting with contrast injections as needed, and monitoring patients after exams. The position is full-time and on-site, with an evening schedule of Monday through Friday, 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. There are no on-call shifts or overnights.

Requirements

• Graduate of a recognized, approved Paramedic program.
• Current Texas state license.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, or willingness to obtain these certifications.
• One year of paramedic experience in an EMS service and/or emergency room.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of intensive care or radiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check supplies and equipment daily, maintain adequate levels, and reorder as necessary.
• Assess patients and obtain medical histories, medication information, and allergy information.
• Complete screening forms to identify contraindications for procedures.
• Perform quality assurance checks of patient schedules throughout the shift.
• Prepare for patient care, including interventions, review of lab results, sedation preparation, verification of orders, and implant screening with referring physicians.
• Insert and remove IV catheters according to policy.
• Assist with contrast material injection as needed.
• Monitor patients after exams and take appropriate action to ensure their safety.
