About The Position
The EMS Programs Instructor has primary responsibility for classroom/lab education of the Paramedic students, maintenance of accreditation status, recruitment and selection of students.
Requirements
- Current Practicing as a Paramedic
- Current certifications in CPR, ACLS and PALS
- Compliant with all federal, state and local regulations, including certification and licensing requirements as required by the discipline
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Instructor status in CPR, ACLS and PALS is beneficial
- Associates, Bachelors, or Masters Degrees preferred
- National Registry EMT/Paramedic Certification preferred
- Additional instructor certifications preferred ie: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS), Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC), Geriatric Emergencies for EMS (GEMS), EMS Safety, etc
- Minimum 2 years field experience as EMT/Paramedic with supervisory experience (preferred)
- Experience in a training or educational setting desirable
