About The Position

The Education and Training role is responsible for coordinating and delivering engaging, evidence-based education and professional development for EMS staff. This position oversees orientation, continuing education, annual refreshers, skills training, FTO development, and compliance documentation while supporting the growth and development of new and current team members. The position collaborates with the Ambulance Manager, system educators, and community partners to develop educational programs, scenario-based training, and quality improvement initiatives. In addition to educational responsibilities, the role provides clinical support through 911 response, inter-facility transports, public assistance, and Emergency Department assistance as needed.

Requirements

• Paramedic certification
• Field Training Officer (FTO) development experience
• Experience in coordinating and delivering education/training programs
• Knowledge of EMS compliance documentation
• Ability to collaborate with managers, educators, and community partners
• Clinical support skills for 911 response, inter-facility transports, public assistance, and Emergency Department assistance.
