Paraeducator positions are available at Stall Brook Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. These are ten-month positions, working 184 days per year, following the school calendar. The schedule is 33.75 hours per week (6.75 hours per day) for Preschool/Elementary/KMA, and 35 hours per week (7 hours per day) for BMS/BHS. The role involves assisting teachers with student instruction, materials, testing, behavior modification programs, and general classroom management. Paraeducators will work directly with children to support academics, social skills, self-care, and vocational skills, reinforcing concepts introduced by the teacher. They will also assist with non-instructional duties, administrative tasks, and the use of instructional and assistive technology. Flexibility and teamwork are essential, as is the ability to adapt to various classroom environments and student needs, including potential assistance with toileting and lifting students with disabilities as per their IEPs. Safety Care certification and ABA strategy application are part of the role, with specific training provided.
