The Paraeducator will work in a LEAP (Learners Excelling And Progressing) Lab/Resource setting, providing collaboration, monitoring, co-teaching, and direct instruction services. They may also work in RISE (Reaching Independence through Structured Education) or LIFE (Learning In a Functional Environment) classrooms, which focus on functional skills and modified curricula for students with mild/moderate or severe/profound disabilities, respectively. Additionally, the role may involve working in an ABLE (Academic and Behavioral Learning Environment) classroom for students with emotional and behavioral concerns. The primary goal is to assist in creating a smoothly functioning classroom environment where students can maximize their learning and utilize available resources.
