About The Position

Assists one or more teachers with one-on-one or small-group tutoring and/or the direct care, supervision, and support of children in a classroom setting. Maintains and prepares classroom materials, attendance records, health forms, and student files. Provides instructional assistance that reinforces learning for individuals or small groups of students. The position is located at Woodridge/Hillsdale and is scheduled for 2 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 182 work days per year.

Requirements

• Equivalent of a high school diploma.
• Experience working with students in a classroom or equivalent environment.
• Successful completion of a competency exam.
• NCLB compliance: 48 semester college units or passing the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam.
• Provide proof of high school graduation, such as a diploma, high school transcripts, or equivalent (e.g., GED).
• Provide a resume that clearly evidences the required experience.
