About The Position

Rampart Technical Systems provides Parachute Riggers / Quality Assurance Inspectors to assist with Special Operations Parachute Rigger (SOPR) duties and responsibilities. Employees primarily support the Navy Parachute Course (NPC), including its Static Line Course and Military Free Fall Course. Additional work includes parachute rigging and maintenance, NPC student packing and training, and parachute inventory services.

Under the direction of Department of War personnel, the Parachute Rigger / Quality Assurance Inspector packs and maintains military service common parachutes and associated equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), applicable service and technical manuals (TM), and technical directives (TD). The position also packs tactical and non-tactical Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) Ram Air Personnel Parachute Systems (RAPPS) and military-owned parachute systems, including MT-3, MT-2XX main/reserve, non-standard main/reserve, MC-6 main, and T11R reserve static line parachute systems.

Requirements

• Secret Security Clearance.
• A minimum of four years of SOF Parachute Rigging experience.
• Graduate of the applicable DoD service school for the systems being packed (MT2XX, MC-6, T11R).
• FAA-certified Master Parachute Rigger (back and chest).
• Completed SOPR JQR.
• Completed QAI JQR.
• COBHAM Oxygen Technician Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fulfilling Special Operations Parachute Rigger (SOPR) duties and responsibilities.
• Support the Navy Parachute Course, including the Static Line Course and Military Free Fall Course.
• Perform parachute rigging and maintenance, NPC student packing and training, and parachute inventory services.
• Pack and maintain military service common parachutes and associated equipment in accordance with SOPs, applicable service and technical manuals, and technical directives.
• Pack tactical and non-tactical COTS RAPPS and military-owned parachute systems, including MT-3, MT-2XX main/reserve, non-standard main/reserve, MC-6 main, and T11R reserve static line systems.
