Requirements

  • ServSafe and applicable Foodhandlers Certification.
  • English reading, writing, and math skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all food products are arranged according to company standards and utensils are present.
  • Prep for service; set station to include all provisions; wash and prepare all produce items and all salad bar toppings, stock salad bar.
  • Prepare and display “Grab & Go” items with appropriate labels.
  • When service is over, breakdown station according to company standards.
  • Review menu and daily specials with your Manager before service begins.
  • Assist in the production of daily menus and special function catering.
  • Prepare food using proper techniques while maintaining food quality standards.
  • Meet production deadlines.
  • Read and understand recipes.
  • Understand the concept of food cost.
  • Ability to take inventory.
  • Assist in line service as needed.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by management and always check with the manager before leaving for the day.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas/equipment as well as proper handling and storage of all food.
  • Ensure all food products are properly cooked/held at required temperatures and all state health laws are upheld.
  • Always have a thermometer and properly maintain documentation on temperature logs.
  • Always wear gloves and clean as you go. Always have a sanitizing bucket at your station.
  • Adhere to WMH’s uniform policy - be prepared to work when your shift begins.
  • Adhere to all WMH’s Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in the monthly training and development workshops.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction to ensure we exceed customer expectations every day.
  • Understand culinary terminology and techniques.
  • Ability to properly maintain and operate food service equipment.
  • Must wear proper safety gear including certified slip-resistant footwear.
  • English reading, writing, and math skills required.
