About The Position

Tommy’s is looking for a Panel Builder to oversee the production of Industrial Control Panels to be used in car washes. This role involves assembling and wiring electrical control panels, testing them for quality and functionality, and programming software for control system devices. The Panel Builder will also provide design recommendations, manage inventory, and perform other assigned duties. The work environment is a warehouse, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The role requires the ability to work indoors, commute in various weather conditions, and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and using various tools.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or 4+ years experience in related field
Ability to read, interpret, and make corrections to electrical drawings
General knowledge of power tools, measuring devices like tape measures, calipers, etc.
Technical savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience within database systems a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Displays a strong initiative and drive to identify gaps and fill them
Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions

Able to move about inside car wash

Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Assemble and wire electrical control panels in accordance with electrical control panel drawings and UL 508a standards.
Test and certify control panels for quality, functionality and accuracy
Program/install software on control system devices such as PC’s, Network equipment, and HMI’s.
Provide feedback, consultation, and design recommendations to management to improve product quality and build time.
Organize and maintain inventory levels with purchasing and inventory teams.
