About The Position

A Panel Build Technician is responsible for all phases of a panel build, including reading electrical schematics, wiring panels, creating panel tags, and completing final panel assembly. The technician may occasionally support customers in the field by troubleshooting existing panels and providing installation support for Bastian Controls projects. The role requires strong troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, organization, and neat industrial wiring workmanship. The technician must be able to manage multiple projects, provide feedback on prints, and redline prints as appropriate. No travel is required.

Requirements

Experience in the electrical industry as an electrician or panel builder.
Relevant electrical wiring, panel building, and troubleshooting experience.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Neat workmanship, particularly with industrial wiring best practices.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to anticipate problems and act proactively.
Maintain a consistently positive, enthusiastic attitude.
Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Read electrical schematics.
Wire panels, create panel tags, and complete final panel assembly.
Occasionally troubleshoot existing panels in the field for customers.
Provide field installation support for Bastian Controls projects when needed.
Execute schedules and keep work on track with milestones.
Provide feedback on prints and redline them as appropriate.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete administrative tasks and paperwork in a timely manner.
Submit annual review inputs and personal goals.
Follow information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report suspected security incidents.
