About The Position

Concordia Visiting Nurses is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide palliative care to people facing serious illness and support their families. The nurse manages symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, and shortness of breath by developing and implementing care plans and managing medications. The role also coordinates care among healthcare professionals and educates patients and families about illnesses, treatment options, and what to expect as an illness progresses. The position offers autonomy in managing a schedule and making independent patient-care decisions, alongside a collaborative team and opportunities for paid training, scholarships, and specialization.

Requirements

At least one year of nursing experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in sensitive situations.
Compassionate, empathetic, patient-centered approach and ability to listen to patients and families.
Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions and provide personalized care.
Resilience, emotional stability, and strong self-care practices.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospice, palliative care, or a related field such as ICU, geriatrics, or oncology.
