About The Position

Concordia Visiting Nurses is hiring a Palliative Registered Nurse to provide compassionate support to people facing serious illness and their families. The position focuses on comfort, dignity, symptom relief, and personalized care in a home health setting. The nurse manages symptoms such as pain, nausea, fatigue, and shortness of breath; develops and implements care plans; manages medications; coordinates care with other healthcare professionals; and educates patients and families about illnesses, treatment options, and what to expect as conditions progress. The role offers autonomy in managing a schedule and making patient-care decisions, along with collaboration and professional-development opportunities.

Requirements

• At least one year of nursing experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in sensitive situations.
• Compassionate, empathetic, patient-centered approach and the ability to listen to patients and families.
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions and provide personalized care.
• Resilience, emotional stability, and strong self-care practices.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing experience in hospice, palliative care, or a related field such as ICU, geriatrics, or oncology.

Responsibilities
