About The Position

The Palletizer supports shipping and production operations by operating automated palletizing equipment, preparing products for shipment, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation. This role ensures safe handling, proper packaging, and reliable product flow while meeting food safety, quality, and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to follow written procedures, safety guidelines, and production instructions.

  • Basic math and reading skills to support counting, scanning, weighing, and documentation.
  • Ability to learn and operate palletizing, packing, and material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills to support documentation and data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail related to product accuracy, food safety, and shipping requirements.

  • Ability to work scheduled hours, including overtime or weekends as required.

  • This job may require you to operate an electronic pallet jack and/or a forklift and work in cold and/or hot conditions.
  • This position requires passing a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor the automatic palletizer and related conveying equipment to palletize finished products.
  • Prepare items for shipment, including casing products according to specifications and staging completed pallets.
  • Read and interpret production schedules and master packing specifications and adjust operations as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Verify and maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments, including counts, scans, and weights as required.
  • Set up packing machines and adjust feed mechanisms, alignment, and stacking patterns to match product specifications.
  • Clear equipment jams and make routine adjustments to correct malfunctions within defined procedures.
  • Load magazines with pallets, slip sheets, and liners to support continuous operation.
  • Verify load sheets, bills of lading, and shipping documents against product, order, and invoice information.
  • Affix required identification labels, UPCs, and shipping instructions to outgoing products.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to pull samples and support verification activities.
  • Maintain Process Control Points (PCPs) and Critical Control Points (CCPs) and record data accurately.
  • Follow reaction plans for food safety, quality, and customer requirement deviations.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), housekeeping standards, safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and personal protective equipment standards.
  • Communicate with production and shipping partners to support efficient product flow.
  • Perform other job‑related tasks as assigned.
