Pallet Puller
About The Position
The Pallet Puller transports pallets and materials between the packaging line, production floor, warehouse, and distribution center at a refrigerated food manufacturing plant. The role includes moving loaded and empty pallets, delivering packaging materials, wrapping loaded pallets, and keeping the work area clean and orderly. The employee must follow company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices, maintain regular attendance and punctuality, and ensure electric jacks are in working order by reporting problems to maintenance. Production demands may require overtime and evening or weekend scheduling. The work environment may be wet or dry, with temperatures ranging from 25°F to 110°F, and requires repetitive lifting of packages weighing more than 25 pounds.
Requirements
- Pallet jack or forklift experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- English/Spanish bilingual ability is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Transport pallets from the packaging line to the distribution center.
- Deliver empty pallets to the production line.
- Deliver packaging materials to the production line.
- Wrap loaded pallets according to company guidelines.
- Ensure electric jacks are in working order and report problems to the maintenance department.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Follow company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
