About The Position

The Assembler I fabricates component parts or assembles finished products according to customer specifications. The role secures and maintains the correct component parts and supplies needed for the operation, follows prescribed assembly instructions and quality standards, and contributes to a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Six months of manufacturing and assembly experience preferred; no minimum experience is required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Fit parts together according to prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operate hand tools as required to complete assembly.
• Stack completed products according to established procedures and, if required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
• Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete the pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
