About The Position

A Builder repairs and assembles cabinets with quality or material issues so they pass inspection. The position uses a variety of tools and fixtures to build and repair cabinets to specifications, install missing components, inspect quality, and assemble packing trays. Builders may also work offline to address building errors. The role is performed indoors in conditions that may include excessive heat, humidity, cold, and moderate-to-high noise. Protective safety gear is required.

Requirements

Ability to identify cabinet types, wood species, finishes, and color variances.
Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
Frequent bending, crouching, pulling, and pushing.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Use pneumatic equipment, power tools, hand tools, hot melt glue, jigs, and other equipment to assemble cabinets or install missing components to specifications.
Check components and assembled cabinets against quality standards and assemble packing trays.
Use computer programs in various aspects of building and repairing cabinets to specifications.
Accurately interpret production labels and data in various computer systems.
Work offline to address building errors when assigned.
Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping.
Perform other duties as assigned.
